The Fossil Tree is the brainchild of Hazel and Phil Stoker, who wanted to create a place that catered to the tastes of their friends. That spirit of creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere catering specifically for adults, has carried on, and earned them a deserved reputation as being one of the ‘nicest friendliest places’ according to Mrs Carter, a Nottingham resident who visited.

Phil and Hazel’s hotel provides a haven for adults who wish to have a relaxing break, without children or stag/hen parties staying in the same place. All beds have Egyptian bed linen, and the rooms come with complimentary tea and coffee facilities as well as being ensuite.

Hazel and Phil decided to create their hotel within easy reach of all major Blackpool attractions, but wanted to be in a slightly quieter area of the town than South Shore. They were delighted when they discovered this distinctive building, as it is located opposite a tram and bus stop giving access to all of Blackpool’s major sights and attractions, but also offers free guaranteed parking if required.

 If any guest is unsure of which attractions, or places they would like to see first, then the Stokers supply a ‘Bedroom Browser’ as standard in each room. It offers information about the town, and the hotel, giving guests the chance to visit places that appeal to them.

 Hazel and Phil also have a ‘Honesty Bar’, providing a wide range of alcoholic and soft drinks, as well as chocolate snacks, and the profits are all intended to go towards Alzheimers’ research. The ‘Honesty Bar’ includes drinks like Champagne, chilled beer and wine.

The Winter Gardens: the famous Opera House and Theatre is a 13 minute tram ride away.
The Grand Theatre is only twelve minutes by tram from the hotel.
